But apart from the size, style, or design, everyone has his own choice. Let’s take a glimpse of the most wanted cars over the years.

Bugatti Chiron

Bugatti Chiron, without any dubious thought, is known to be the world’s fastest car. The main feature for its fame is its massive engine with 16-cylinder responsible for pushing Bugatti to 300 mph and beyond. It was, later in 2019, proved by a test drive by Andy Wallace, who accomplished this trial task at the speed of 490.48 km/h (304.77 mph). Where the TÜV noticed speed, Germany’s Technical Inspection Association established a record in the history of vehicle production by breaking the 300 mph barrier. The design and the amenities of two doors car are other attributes to its fame like quad LED headlights.

Audi RS6 Avant

Audi RS6 Avant belongs to a Wagon class of vehicles with a roaring 591-engine. The most remarkable feature of this launch is its speed, besides its smooth drive. Much similar to RS7 in a term of broader fenders. Lexus LC

This two-door, sports car a member of Grand tourer, Lexus LC, is from a division of Toyota‘s Luxury vehicles. Front hourglass grille, pointed headlights, wide rear fenders, and convertible roof made of either glass or carbon fiber; these all together are set to give a perfect look of a sports luxury car. The competition now is which one to go for between coupe or convertible.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Mercedes is sustaining its name and fame game, that’s one of the reasons it’s well known over the centuries. The inner look took transformation more seriously than does the outlook. Instrument panels comprise the two large screens, and cabins are mostly hidden with leather and wood frills, high-quality alloy wheels maintaining its royal look along with its keyless locking system.

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan didn’t dishearten its fans and keep its reputation well in the market. The new breed is more of a sport style than its predecessors.

Porsche 911

Another top-listed and all-time favorite two-door classic car, Porsche 911. Back in the ’60s, having a Porsche 911 gave people a sense of luxury. Porsche continuously went through several transformations, and from some intervals, they constantly popped up with little variations. Still, it’s one of the most favorable cars because of its recent variant Porsche 911 Carrera S, adding a twist of modern luxury with some classic theme. The first Porsche 911 was introduced with a 2.0 engine with just 130 bhp, which production was ceased in the late ’80s. But they could not completely vanish its name from the Porsche production line; it’s still considered one of the best classic cars.

Volvo V60

Volvo V60 depicts an image of a luxury wagon. Volvo has evolved a lot with time, especially in the last ten years. And now it’s considered to be one of the luxury wagons. The most appealing thing is the wagon look of Volvo didn’t impact its premium image. Space-wise, it’s a good choice for a large family, providing them a sense of luxury and this benefit. The space and design are not the facts it’s being loved, but the science behind this version also contributes to its popularity. Lamborghini Aventador

The Lamborghini Aventador is a two-door, two-seater car with 12 cylinders. It’s another all-time favorite ride of car lovers, especially for those who love premium cars with sporty features; all in one is Aventador. Aventador is famous for its following features:

Phantom is one of the best-selling articles of Rolls-Royce. A name depicts a sense of legacy, luxury, and class all under one roof. Or further, we can define this ride as a private jet because of its offerings and no doubt cost. The features are not less than any private jet, spacious and comfortable, rotary controller a high-tech system that empowers its rider in planning a journey with a simple finger touch. No doubt, it is my all-time favorite car.

Jaguar E-Type

An evergreen, another two-door car, falls in the category of Classic division. Known in every era for its beautiful classic body and engine. Another all-time favorite car, the Jaguar E-type, is still on the top of the list of the classic car. Back in time, the most popular and running car among the British. Till the mid-70s, production of E-type remained at its highest. The interior had gone too many changes, but the outside look has been constant for centuries; this is one reason for its demand and popularity. Not just this, the E-type is also entitled “the most beautiful car ever made” by Enzo Ferrari.

The Taycan is the first purely battery-electric Porsche sports car and since first going on sale last September has impressed customers and enthusiasts with its combination of an authentic Porsche driving experience and performance from its innovative 800-volt drivetrain.

There are new interior finishes too with Blackberry and two-tone options for the leather and leather-free upholstery choices. In addition, Exclusive Manufaktur and custom tailoring options have been extended to include contrasting leather seat centers and contrast stitching.

To ensure that the refresh is more than skin deep, a range of technical enhancements are designed to appeal to both keen drivers and boost livability. These include optimized battery performance and improved charging. Additional innovations include features that can be flexibly booked online via a new Functions on Demand (FoD) service and the option of a head-up display in color.

In the case of the Taycan Turbo S, the battery optimization sees the car’s acceleration improve further still. With Launch Control, it now can sprint from 0-124 mph in 9.6 seconds, undercutting the previous time by 0.2 seconds. It blasts through the quarter-mile in 10.7 seconds (previously 10.8 seconds). As before, the Taycan can undertake successive launches without any drop in performance.

Charging while maintaining the battery is an extra new function. It can restrict the charging capacity at 350 kW Ultra Rapid chargers (e.g. Ionity high-power 800-volt charging stations) from a maximum of 270 kW to around 200 kW when customers are planning to take a longer break from driving. Drivers can select the desired charging mode on the central display.

Further new intelligent charging functions are usable in conjunction with Mobile Charger Connect and Home Energy Manager. These involve the power guard function, which is now able to prevent an overload of the domestic connection, as well as optimized charging with energy produced domestically. This function enables the Taycan to charge using solar energy generated by the home. Once the deliberately configurable, minimum battery charge level has been reached, the system uses only solar energy that is not needed by the building.

Moreover, that two seats will always be better than four, and only couples should be allowed to enjoy the best the motoring world has to offer – not, heaven forbid parents with children.

Well, there’s at least one car on the market that does not insist you compromise – the Panamera E-Hybrid, out of the stable of the world’s largest sports car manufacturer, Porsche.

The Germans may be best known for their brash two-seater sports cars but this is a plug-in hybrid version of their first upmarket four-seater saloon model which launched in 2009.

Now in its second generation, like the Cayenne, the Panamera appeals to those wanting both the prestige that comes with the badge as well as something more functional than a 911 or a Boxster.

But what is even more surprising is that, while the Panamera incorporates design elements found in the 911, Boxster, 718, and Cayman, in many areas it could perform at least as well as them, if not better.

To begin with, this 2.0 version is a big step from its predecessor. It boasts a more exquisite interior and sharper styling that takes comfort to the next level.

Underneath the Panamera’s very sharp exterior is a slick coupe design offering plenty of room for four (it’s strictly four not five thanks to the bucket seat set up in the rear) and a large boot, and not to mention a very hi-tech interior (more on that later).

This all adds up to it is not just more practical but more agile. This is hands down the most comfortable I have felt sat behind the wheel of any car since the Bentley Continental GT.

The E-hybrid is available in both saloon, executive saloon, and estate versions. There is a choice of V6 or V8 engines to power the rear or all four wheels, with eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive as standard.

But despite being more than 5m long and almost 2m wide, the Panamera edges it on being arguably the liveliest large luxury car money can buy.

It’ll do 0-62mph in 2.7sec and 0-125mph in 8.9sec.

Apart from the original 3.0-liter 911, Turbo launched in 1975, and the 3.3-liter version that followed it, I drove every generation of the ‘Turbo’ when new – including a 964 3.6 Turbo.

It was fitted with the rare X88 power kit which boosted the horsepower to 385.

Doesn’t sound much now, but don’t be fooled – that 964 3.6 was the last of the rear-wheel-drive 911 Turbos and the last time they used a big, single turbocharger.

None of those numbers were of much relevance as I intended to drive the Turbo S over some lovely roads in Berkshire with a max speed limit of 60mph.

Like many of us, the 911 has grown wider with age. And none more so than this Turbo S version which has a track 45mm wider than the standard 911 at the front, and 20mm wider at the back. Wide is bad, skinny great as you have more road to play with. It’s that obvious.

With the new Turbo S, Porsche should supply the business card of a hotshot defense lawyer.

Because of this car looks fast on paper, it’s even more outrageous in the metal. Acceleration is ballistic as soon as you’ve hit the throttle.

Thankfully, the brakes are carbon-ceramic, gripped at the front by 10-piston calipers.

Slip the optional Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) into Sport Plus mode and several things happen: your back starts hurting unless on a really smooth road and the rear wing pops up while the curb-biffing front spoiler retracts itself.

There are several modes including Eco that activate the irritating start/stop system if under 10mph.

Being easy to drive fast, it’s good to know grip is astonishing. Active rear-wheel steering makes it turn into corners with amazing accuracy.

Our test car, which costs 203.000 USD, has the optional sports exhaust, but the sound is disappointing compared to the naturally-aspirated GT3 and GT3 RS models that are the hardcore choice for 911 purists. For me, too.

Its performance puts it on a par with Ferrari’s F8 and McLaren’s amazing 720S – both of which cost north of 260.500 USD.

The Porsche isn’t bad value. But the firm makes a car that’s almost a third of the cost of the Turbo S that I’d much rather own or drive.

It’s the Cayman GTS – naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter engine, 400bhp, and a top speed of 182mph and 0-62mph in 4.5sec. It’s a smaller car, also available with a manual gearbox, that is fantastic on the road.

The only drawback is the Cayman only has two seats. But people who buy cars like these rarely own just one car.

The idea sounded like a winner for well-heeled petrolheads.

Such a pity the engine didn’t sound so glorious.

It made the Boxster and Cayman 718s better to drive and faster. But sales dropped off because it sounds like a Beetle if you’re being polite – or a pig farting if you’re not.

The option if you mourned the loss of the six-cylinder engines was to buy a Cayman GT4 with a 4.0-liter engine borrowed from the 911 but without the turbochargers and a bigger capacity by a liter.

Porsche launched the second generation Cayman GT4 last year which we tested. Not cheap at 75 grand but the best sports car you can buy for any money.

Or it was until the new Cayman GTS arrived which we tested before lockdown.

For starters, it uses exactly the same engine as the GT4 which means a 4.0-liter flat-six that’s naturally aspirated.

The only difference between the GT4 and GTS is that in the former the motor revs to 8,000rpm and in the latter, it’s 7,800rpm. With the lost 200rpm goes 20bhp, but you won’t notice on the road because the GTS still has 394bhp and the same 431Nm of torque.

Porsche will have only done it for marketing reasons so that the GT4 is still top dog and justifies its extra cost.

So what do you lose having saved 14,300 USD by buying the 83.500 USD Cayman GTS?

Again, not much you’ll notice on UK roads. Firstly it doesn’t have the same aerodynamic package as the GT4 because the rear wing has gone and there’s no underbody diffuser. Bang goes 100kg of downforce at 150mph.

Also, the front suspension on the more extreme car has risen joints whereas the GTS’s suspension has standard rubber bushes.

Rose joints are what you find on racing cars – they make the suspension geometry more accurate but transmit more shocks from the road.

You’re going to love this car if you’re a traditionalist because like the GT4 it comes with a six-speed manual gearbox – well, almost the same but with a slightly longer gear lever movement.

It’s a lovely gearbox to use and has an auto-blip function that raises the engine revs a little as you change down a gear.

Unless you really need the two small rear seats there’s no reason to buy a 911 over this car.

– The Porsche Taycan has for sure brought a totally new flavor to what we used to know as the traditional EV performance flagship and thus provided the competition that till the day before, was monopolized by Tesla. Its staggering speed, handling, and build quality have a lot of people to the point that they are singing its praises.

– At one side, Tesla still retains its specialness in length range, charging network, and advanced software/AI features. The range of the Taycan, even less than 300 miles, still falls short of Tesla’s models which can deliver more than 400 miles of range.

– For the Taycan model that in turn go beyond $100,000 are its highlights. Therefore, the ultimate power of the Model 3 comes to find a level with the most prestigious Tesla models on performance, but in a higher price category. Tesla, at the same time, continues to have the needed performance for affordable long-range EVs.

– The field is open for many to act well. More competition gives more opportunities for innovations for every member of the competition. The introduction of the Taycan will give impetus to Tesla also to pursue the betterment of their products. Aiming for such degree of excellence should bring the whole industry to the top level.

Thus, when summarizing oneself the Taycan is unbelievably amazing, though Tesla accelerates in the certain fields and sells the cars at the mass-market prices. Namely, competition has increased in this respect; however, this can be considered a positive outcome for customers who now have more available varieties.

The design DNA of Taycan is like a classic Porsche, the back side of the car is a compact version of Panamera with classic fender design snaking along the sides to the front; letting the drive know that they are in a Porsche!!!  Taycan Turbo S produces 751 horsepower and 1050N-m of torque with a cap on top speed of 162 mph. The car has a power system of 800-volt which speeds up the charging and distribute optimal power in Taycan.

Taycan is also a very safe car with some saying that it is an over-engineered EV packed with a lot of technology. Taycan scored 70% for pedestrian protection, 83% for child protection and 85% for adult protection. In addition to regular safety features other EV are equipped with these days, Taycan has enhanced night vision, rear-cross traffic alert and autonomous emergency braking system.

Tesla its main rival has been dominant in the EV market for some years now. Tesla latest performance variant of model S can do 0-60mph only in just 2.3 sec. Tesla recorded its famous Nürburgring(Germany) track lap time in 7 minutes and 23 seconds which is 19 seconds faster than the previous scoreboard leader Taycan which recorded the lap time in 7 minutes and 42 seconds in September last year.

Taycan is Porsche’s response to the performance EV market which has without doubt increased the bar for its competition. It is not the fastest yet but unarguably one of the fastest and best-looking performance EVs you can buy today.

Where Electric Vehicles Reign Supreme

Which countries currently have the most number of electric vehicles per capita? And which ones bought the most number of electric vehicles during the last year? This infographic summarizes the places in the world where electric vehicles are most popular.

The 2.5-liter turbo-flat presently found on the GTS has been replaced with a bigger and much more potent 4.0-liter flat-six pot, with 294 kW, quite an improvement from the former`s 269kW.

The engine is derived from the 718 GT4 models, with power standing at 309kW, however the power is slightly detuned to 294kW. Even so, both models are still quick runners from 0 to 100 km/h, managing just 4.5 seconds, as the company states.

As for prices involved, the 2020 Porsche Cayman GTS costs at least $172,400, while the 2020 Porsche Boxster GTS is set at $175,000., prices do not include the destination fee.

Besides the new engine, the new Cayman and Boxster GTS are also equipped with the Porsche Communication Management and a 7.0-inch touch-screen, paired with standard Sport Chrono pack which directly communicates with the Track Precision app, via smartphone. This records the performance of the cars on the track and monitors other features of the engine.

As the GTS models, the new Cayman and Boxters come equipped with new driving systems especially developed for track purpose. For instance, there is the Porsche Active Suspension Management, or simply put PASM, that lowers the cars` ride height by 20mm, or the Porsche Torque Vectorin (PVT). The carmaker has also included a mechanical limited-slip differential.

The interior of both models are high-end, thanks to the new sports seats now fitted with dark Alcantara. Other materials, like plush, wrap the arm rests, gear selector, center console or the steering wheel, providing a cozier feel. There are also other features customers can opt for, like the GTS logo on the seats, wrapped in Carmine Red or Chalk, adding decorative seams or contrasting colours.

As for high-tech gadgets, the 2020 Porsche Cayman and Boxster GTS feature a rear-view camera, standard satellite-navigation with Porsche Connect, Apple CarPlay with Siri voice command, alarm system with interior surveillance, heated front seats, cruise control or dual-zone climate control.

The exterior stands out from the crowd with a dark theme, borrowed from other GTS versions, which looks splendid with the new black air intake up front and black lip spoiler at the back. There is also the black trimming for the new bumper bar at the rear, or the black fog light surrounds. All these exterior features are complemented with a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels coated in satin-gloss black.

Speaking of Porsche, the 911 (991.2) Turbo is the subject of our article, the model in question receiving some new power juice that makes almost faster as the bigger and much more potent 911 GT2 RS.

The modifications start from the outside and continue underneath the sports car`s skin. As we can depict from the media gallery below, the car shines in a black paint with gold touches.

New Visuals

The new visuals make it standout from the crowd – new spoiler and new lowering springs which lower the car by 30 mm. There is also the new Techart Formula IV alloy wheels, extremely wide (21 inches), with five-double-spoke configuration and finished in black. All these body parts make sure that the now much more powerful 911 Turbo stays to the ground at high-speed.

Power under the Hood

With several modifications under the hood as well, the tuner`s new project becomes even more powerful. These include an ECU remapping and a custom-built stainless steel exhaust system, which significantly raise its power.

If in the stock form the new Porsche 911 (991.2) Turbo is powered by a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine comes with no less than 532 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque, with the new power kit, this lad here is capable of more right now – 670 horsepower and 870 Nm of torque – 20 horsepower less than the new 911 GT2 RS. However, it does come with 120 Nm of torque more, which is mind-blowing.

Impressive Acceleration and Speed

As for acceleration, in stock shape, the 911 Turbo sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in no less than 3.0 seconds; with the new power kit in place, this drops to 2.9 seconds, making it 0.1 second slower than the new GT2 RS.
